Each activity has its own weather model. GoodDayTo compares the upcoming hourly forecast, scores practical multi-hour windows and applies activity-specific rules for things such as rain, wind, temperature, daylight, UV and severe weather. GO means the measured conditions look favourable, WAIT means a better window is likely, and NOT TODAY means the forecast is currently a poor fit.

Why can two activities get very different scores in the same weather?

Because the same weather can be good for one thing and poor for another. A steady breeze may help dry laundry but make tennis frustrating. Cloud can spoil stargazing while making gardening more comfortable. GoodDayTo does not use one generic weather score for everything.

Why is the best time sometimes tomorrow instead of later today?

The app compares the remaining useful hours today with the next forecast days. If today’s practical window has already passed or the weather improves tomorrow, the result labels the recommended window as Tomorrow or the relevant weekday instead of showing an expired time.

How accurate is a score such as 82 out of 100?

The number is a planning score, not a scientific probability or guarantee. It consistently combines the forecast factors that matter for that activity so you can compare time windows. Forecast uncertainty and local conditions mean the real experience can still differ.

Does GoodDayTo know whether the activity is actually possible near me?

For activities that need a place, the app can check mapped nearby features such as beaches, parks, golf courses, tennis courts or football pitches. That check is useful context, but it cannot confirm opening hours, bookings, access rules, surface condition or whether a venue is suitable right now.

Does a GO result mean the activity is safe?

No. GO only means the weather factors GoodDayTo measures look favourable. Official warnings, road or trail conditions, water safety, venue rules, personal health, equipment and other local risks still need separate checks.

Why can the recommendation change when I check again later?

Forecasts update and the useful time window moves forward as the day passes. GoodDayTo recalculates from the latest available forecast, so a WAIT can become GO—or the reverse—when new weather data arrives or an earlier window has already passed.
